It is with immense gratitude and profound relief that I welcome the safe release of the kidnapped prospective corps members in Imo State. These young patriots were simply travelling from Oyo State to Imo State for their mandatory National Youth Service Corps camping programme when they were abducted. Their safe return brings an end to a period of great distress for their families and the entire nation. We rejoice with the relatives of these youths as they are finally reunited after such a harrowing ordeal.

I extend my deepest commendation to the gallant men and women of our security agencies who executed this successful rescue operation. The combined efforts of the military, the Department of State Services and the Nigeria Police Force highlight the true power of interagency coordination and commitment to solving insecurity. We owe a massive debt of gratitude to these brave officers for their sacrifice and unfiltered patriotism in the face of grave danger. Their dedication to protecting Nigerian citizens remains a emblem of hope for the future of our great nation.

Special appreciation goes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his steadfast leadership and for not resting or sleeping on this matter until the youths were rescued. Mr President continuously monitored the whole situation to ensure that the state apparatus was fully mobilised for their safe return. I must equally laud our revered monarch, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja Arusa I, who has been completely restless over this situation. His Majesty played a crucial role in coordinating with the Imo State

Government to see to the successful release of our prospective corps members.
Securing our nation must continue to have the topmost priority and we must do everything possible to get rid of criminal elements in our various societies. These criminals must be fully decimated to get incapacitated and ensure they are totally weeded off our society so they can no longer remain a threat. I commend the Federal Government through the office of the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, for its relentlessness and for proactively coordinating our national security architecture. I pray for strength and more wisdom for his team to achieve final success in the fight against insecurity. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
